Line 6 releases Pod Farm 2 - updated info for Record users
Line 6 has recently released version 2 of the Pod Farm software. This includes some changes to the Tone format. Specifically, the internal signal path in a Tone has changed, allowing for a more free placement of amps and effects.
The Line 6 Amp devices in Record 1.0 use the older Tone format, compatible with Pod Farm 1. This means that Tones created or edited in Pod Farm 2 cannot be opened in Record 1.0.
If you upgrade to Pod Farm 2, we recommend that you also download and install Record 1.0.1, as the Line 6 Amp devices in Record 1.0.1 will load Tones in both the Pod Farm 1 and Pod Farm 2 format.
Please note that the Line 6 Amp devices in Record 1.0.1 will always save Tones in the Pod Farm 2 format. These Tones cannot be opened for editing in Pod Farm 1 - you need to use Pod Farm 2.
